World-Famous Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- 8 cups country white bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 whole eggs
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, yolks, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Add bread and raisins to the liquid mixture. Let soak for 15 minutes. Pour the mixture into a 9" x 13" pan. Put the baking pan into a larger roasting pan and fill with water up to two thirds of the way up the side of the 9" x 13" pan (put the water in the larger pan, outside of the 9" x 13").
Bake for 30 minutes or until the center of the pudding is no longer liquid but firm in texture. Be careful taking out of the oven as the water in the larger pan is very hot. Cool 15 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
