This simple technique of roasting salmon on a cedar plank creates fantastic flavor for the fish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cedar plank
  • 2 salmon fillets, 6 ounces each
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 lemon slices, for garnish

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Soak cedar plank in cold water for 15–20 minutes.

Season salmon with salt and pepper. Place on soaked plank and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until a probe thermometer inserted into the thickest section reads 145°F.
