Smoking your own salmon is easier than you think! Get started with this super simple recipe.

Ingredients

  • ⅘ pound kosher salt
  • 1⅕ pounds sugar
  • 1¼ gallons water
  • 3 pounds salmon fillet

Preparation

Mix salt, sugar and water until completely dissolved.

Immerse salmon in brine for 1 day under refrigeration.

Rinse salmon, pat dry and hot smoke for 20-30 minutes.
