Beer Week is here in Sacramento, and it is by far the best week for beer lovers. There are more than 1000 events taking place over the next 10 days, including Sacramento Brewers’ Showcase, Capitol Beer Fest and Beer and Cheese Tastings at select Nugget Markets. Whether you make it out to an event or not, craft beer is worth celebrating.

Many new local breweries are setting up shop at record pace, and craft beer sales are growing rapidly. Right now, craft beer sales count for roughly 34% of all beer sales in the nation (even higher at Nugget Markets!), when just 5 years ago it was only 12% nationwide. Some of our guest favorites come from local producers like Bike Dog, Track 7, Jack Rabbit, Yolo Brewing and Device.
IPA and IPA styles are consistently best sellers at Nugget Markets, and are trending big time along with fruit-flavored beers. Whether you’re looking for a dash of grapefruit, watermelon, pineapple, blood orange or tangerine in your glass, we’ve got a variety of fruity flavors to choose from!
In fact, at Nugget Markets, we carry more than 500 different beers (all sold cold!), more than 250 in 22-ounce bottles and more than 100 local brews from 30 local producers. With so many beers out there, we keep our selection fresh by adding new items weekly, so every time you come in you can pick up a cold one and try something new.
Now is the perfect time to raise a glass to all things craft beer, so visit the adult beverage section to see what’s new with brewing!
