Speaking of snacks, it’s never too early to tempt the palate with choice cheese. Following the youthful theme, try an unaged option like Montchevre Goat Cheese in fun flavors like Blueberry Vanilla and Cranberry Cinnamon.
Then, bring out your inner kid in a candy store and swing by our bulk department for sweet snacks like Gummy Butterflies, Sour Gummy Watermelons and treats for all ages. While you’re at it, throw in something a little adventurous like Popcorn Indiana Caramel & Cheese Chicago Fair Popcorn. While the unique mix of flavors may seem odd at first, once you try it, you’ll be hooked!
For this family-friendly literary event, we’ve gone booze-free, so instead try sipping specialty soft drinks like IZZE Sparkling Juice. These dreamy drinks come in tasty flavors like Grapefruit and Clementine, and they’re 70% juice with no added sugar, so you and the kids will love them!
As for the books, there are countless stories full of adventure and thoughtful themes that can appeal to all ages. If you haven’t read them already, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Inkspell by Cornelia Funke and Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan are all great starts to series that keep the adventure coming. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green are also thought-provoking picks perfect for a multigenerational book club chat.
Ready to read? Take the kids to your local library or bookstore for even more reading options, and drop by your local Nugget Markets for even more snacks and specialty sodas to choose from. Happy reading!
