Light shines even more brightly when things are at their darkest, and La Luz Center is doing their part to strengthen the community now more than ever. Founded with the goal of providing needed assistance to the Latino community in Sonoma Valley, La Luz Center now offers a variety of services to support local families. 

 

Their family services program offers support from early childhood through adulthood, and their economic advancement initiative teaches new skills which can lead to better jobs and higher salaries. Their community engagement team also creates events that promote community-wide participation and provide opportunities for community service and leadership.

 

Since COVID-19, La Luz Center is offering emergency relief funds on a case-by-case basis to the most vulnerable populations. Those funds may include anything from rental payments to food distribution and registration assistance for unemployment benefits or food stamps.
