Due to COVID-19, Whistlestop has also increased their services to help those in need. They deliver 600 meals per week from local restaurants to those struggling with food insecurity, pre-bagged groceries to older adults and those with disabilities, and warm Jackson Café dinners to more than 100 homeless individuals sheltering in place in Marin hotels. In addition, Whistlestop participates in CaringCalls, an inter-generational social phone visiting program connecting local high school students with older adults via weekly social phone visits to help keep people close, even in the midst of social distancing.
Thank you, Whistlestop, for all you do for our communities!
