Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio, 90 points (Wine Enthusiast), under $20: This wine comes from the Alto Adige region in the northeast corner of Italy and is heavily influenced by the limestone-rich Dolomite Mountains. It’s a crisp, dry and flavorful wine with notes of green apple and white peach.
Pedroncelli Merlot 2017, 90 points (Wine Spectator), CA-Grown: The Pedroncelli Winery has been family-owned and farmed since 1927. Not only are their wines delicious, they also have a comprehensive approach to vineyard management that involves all aspects of farming, including human resources. Like Nugget Markets, they understand the importance of providing a great work environment.
Benziger Tribute 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, 90 points (Wine Enthusiast), CA-Grown: This new brand from the Benziger Family Winery portfolio really over-delivers for the price point. Their sauvignon blanc is made by one of our favorite winemaking families using grapes from Certified Sustainable Vineyards throughout California.
Chronic Cellars Purple Paradise 2018, 92 points (Wine Enthusiast), CA-Grown: While the label might make you think of Halloween, this zinfandel-based red blend from Paso Robles is scarrrrry good any time of the year.
Find these and other fantastic wines, beers and spirits at your local Nugget Markets. Have any questions? Our wine stewards are always happy to help!
