Diestel Family Ranch Turkey + Bravium Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Four generations of family farmers have made Diestel Family Ranch the name to trust when it comes to tantalizing turkey. Pair their locally raised turkey with another Califrnia favorite. Hailing from the cool climate of Mendocino County, this complex wine boasts notes of cola, herbal tea and rose petal which complement the bright red cherry fruit. The elevated acidity and excellent value of this Pinot Noir make it perfect for a turkey feast with all the trimmings.
Cascade Creek Rack of Lamb + Anciano Rioja Gran Reserva
Lean, tender and flavorful, this premium lamb is 100% pasture-raised and grass-fed along the West Coast with no antibiotics or added hormones. Complement the gaminess of lamb with the secondary flavors of dried herbs and saddle leather in this wine that develop through aging. By Spanish wine laws, this style of Rioja wine must be aged for at least 5 years, but this one is already 8+ years old and won’t break the bank.
Roli Roti Porchetta + Capo Zafferano Primitivo di Manduria
This traditional, oven-ready roast is made with Heritage Berkshire Pork rolled with garlic and fresh herbs, and includes a sweet onion marmalade on the side. With the rich, bold flavors of porchetta, you need a wine that can match its intensity with enough acidy to counterbalance the fat of the dish. The early picking of the grapes for this wine preserves the acidity, and its bold ripe red berry fruits and tannins are just intense enough.
Bone-In Spiral Sliced Ham + Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc + Viognier White Blend
For a classic holiday table centerpiece without all the work, serve up a flavorful bone-in ham, already smoked and sliced for your convenience. Since ham can have a salty overtone to it, play off that with a wine that has a little sweetness to counteract it on the palate. Both the Chenin Blanc and Viognier grapes in this blend bring sweet notes of honeysuckle and ripe melon that will keep the saltiness in harmony.
Certified Piedmontese Beef Standing Rib Roast + Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon
Nothing says the holidays like a big, juicy roast beef, specifically this gourmet beef sourced from humanely raised cattle with no added anything. Lean, tender and delicious, it’s sure to be a stunning centerpiece for your 5-star feast. If you really want to blow your guests away, pair with this new label from Far Niente Winery. It’s one of the best values currently coming out of Napa, and it carries some serious pedigree! One sniff and sip and there’s no doubt this is some high-quality Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
Certified Piedmontese Beef Brisket + Decoy Limited Release Alexander Valley Merlot
Tender and succulent, it’s hard to find something more satisfying than a beautiful brisket. Fill your home with tantalizing aromas as your roast one at home in your oven! As for our pairing pick… Merlot with brisket? You've got to be crazy, right? This merlot with Duckhorn heritage is more than up to the challenge. The Alexander Valley fruit gives a big structure to the wine while some Petit Verdot and Syrah lend a bolder, Cabernet-like feel perfectly suited for a cut like brisket.
Fresh to Market USDA Choice Premium Angus Beef Tenderloin Roast + Chateau Buena Vista Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Our premium Angus beef roast is prized for its top-notch tenderness. Roast it whole or cut it into three top steaks: filet mignon, chateaubriand and tournedos. When it comes to the wine, pair with this Cab Sauv for a taste of elegance. From one of California's first premium wineries, this complex wine is an extreme value for the quality. Its tannins are so beautifully integrated in the menagerie of ripe black fruits that it doesn't need rich, fatty beef to mellow it out.
Whichever protein you pick, talk to our Meat Department in advance to reserve the centerpiece for your feast, and then drop by our Adult Beverage Department to find your perfect pairing!
