Nugget Markets Guide to Recycling: Curbside, Hazardous waste, and Electronic Waste

Having trouble remembering what’s recyclable? We can help you!

Check out our guide on how to recycle traditional and specialized recycling. If you are interested in learning why it is important to place recycling in the right bins, check out our 2-Part Blog: Recyling 101!

Think of traditional recycling as soda or milk bottles. Think of Hazardous Waste as anything that would be toxic to you if consumed or breathed and anything that would be toxic to the environment if leaked into our waterways or soils. Think of Electronic Waste as anything that needs a “charge” to function.

Did you know it is illegal to throw away electronics and hazardous waste? It’s important to remember that electronics also contain hazardous materials so they must be handled separately from your garbage and recycling. The good news is that most electronics can be reused if donated and are recyclable. Regardless if you donate or recycle, remember to delete your data.
