Where would we be without the land on which we live and grow our food? That’s the question The Center for Land-Based Learning is helping people answer, especially local youth and our next generation of farmers.

School’s back in session and we’re excited to ring in the new school year by continuing to support our local students, teachers, schools and educational foundations! Since 1926, Nugget Markets has been committed to supporting our community, with a special focus on youth education and empowerment.
The miles are officially tallied from our companywide May is Bike Month cycling challenge, and we have some exciting numbers to report.
CSS began collecting food scraps from our West Sacramento store as a trial program in 2013. Soon after, our stores in Woodland and Davis joined in the program and started providing food scraps later that year. In early 2014, our Sacramento and Elk Grove stores started participating in the program, too.
