Achiote Flank Steak

A flavor-packed marinade made of whiskey, brown sugar, and plenty of spices gives this steak an irresistible kick.

Preparation
To make the marinade, mix together all the ingredients except the steak, oil, and salt. Rub the meat generously with the marinade (you may want to wear gloves to keep your hands from turning red). Seal steak in an airtight container and refrigerate at least 2 hours or ideally overnight.
After marinating, rub the meat with vegetable oil and season with salt.
Grill steak over medium-high to high heat about 6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 125°F. Slice meat across the grain and serve.
