Old-Fashioned Deviled Eggs

Preparation
Place eggs in a small (4-quart) pot and cover them with cold water, salt, and vinegar. Bring to a boil and boil for 6 minutes, then remove from water and shock in an ice bath.
Peel the eggs, then split in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. Combine the yolks with the mayonnaise and relish in a small bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Add salt and pepper to taste, then chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Place yolk mixture in a piping bag with a star tip and pipe filling into each egg half. Sprinkle with paprika, garnish with green onions, and serve.
