Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, raw
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons cumin
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 can domestic lager beer
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Season chicken thoroughly with all spices listed. Insert open beer can into chicken cavity, then carefully place chicken with beer can standing up in a medium skillet. Place skillet into oven and roast for approximately 65 minutes or until a probe thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reads 165° F.
Remove chicken from oven, let rest for 4-6 minutes, carve and serve!
