Crème Brûlée French Toast Soufflé

Elevate traditional French toast to dizzying new heights with this delicious recipe. It's not to be missed!
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- 1¼ cups whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 slices artisan bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh mixed berries (optional)
Preheat oven to 450°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar. Add whipping cream, cinnamon and vanilla extract and mix well.
Soak bread slices in mixture until custard is well absorbed.
While bread is soaking, melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Place soaked bread gently into skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes, until lightly browned.
Gently flip browned slices and place into preheated oven. Bake for 3-4 minutes or until puffy and golden brown.
Top with powdered sugar, maple syrup and fresh berries. Serve immediately.
