Steel-Cut Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
 - 1 cup steel-cut oats
 - 3 cups whole milk
 - 2 cups water
 - ½ teaspoon salt
 - 1 cup granola
 - 1 cup blueberries
 - ½ cup dried cranberries
 - 4 tablespoons brown sugar
 
Preparation
Melt butter in a 2-3-quart sauce pot, then add steel-cut oats and toast over medium heat.
When oats start to get a light golden color on the edges, add milk, water and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly to prevent sticking, for 30-40 minutes or until oatmeal reaches desired consistency.
When oatmeal is ready, transfer to a serving bowl and top with the remaining ingredients.
